Wildlife

“In wildness is the preservation of the World.”
     Henry David Thoreau

As you walk along The Way, encounters with local wildlife are always a possibility. The Florida Panhandle is home to a healthy population of mammals such as White-tailed Deer, Marsh Rabbits and Foxes. A wide variety of nature’s smaller creatures can easily be found as well.  As you meander down the boardwalk, be on the lookout for butterflies, frogs, turtles, lizards, snakes and crabs.  Remember, the wildlife is sharing the nature trail with you, so please be respectful and cautious when approaching animals along The Way.

In his hand is the life of every creature and the breath of all mankind.  Job 12:10
