Cuban Brown Anole, Anolis sagrei
The Cuban Brown Anole is an invasive species originally from Cuba, but came to Florida when it hitched a ride on some cargo. The males can grow as large as 7-8 inches long. They are brown, with lots of different patterns on the back, and males have a bright red flap on their neck called a dewlap. They are bad at sharing and take food and habitat away from our native Green Anole (Anolis carolinensis).
