Welcome to one of the most glorious, hidden treasures nestled among the Bayous of Perdido. The Way offers visitors an opportunity to experience a pristine nature trail while also meditating on the Amazing Wonder of our Creator. Meditation is one of the oldest forms of prayer, focusing the heart and mind upon God, His Word and His World. Meditation enriches the body and soul as one prayerfully communes with the beauty and majesty of God’s creation. An ancient prayer found in Psalm 145:5 reads, “On the glorious splendor of Your majesty, and on Your wondrous works, I will meditate.” We invite you to enter The Way and delight in the wonder of the flora and fauna which beckons us to a greater peace in God.

Rethink Lent: HEAR
When you pray are you usually the one speaking? Isn’t it odd that so much of our praying is about the creation speaking rather than the Creator? How much of your prayer life is spent listening? Meditation is not only a fruitful form of prayer, it is also the moment in our holy conversations with God where we attempt to hear rather than speak. I may not know very much, but of this I can be sure: I need to hear God even more than I need to speak to God. While both sides of the conversation are essential to a developed prayer life, the Season of Lent invites us to focus again on meditation and hearing our Creator, Savior, and Sustainer.
